i mean i have issues with the way they wrote/portrayed daisy but carey’s performance was perfect spot on 

at some point she hired a publicist so i’ll elaborate on that tomorrow

there’s someone she misses. she doesn’t like to admit it or talk about it, but i know her better than that. 

she’s been lonely lately, sitting up at night and writing up appeal routines, training with her team at odd hours of the night. she doesn’t sleep all that much anymore, and it leaves bags under her eyes, marring her usually flawless skin (but she’s always been handy with a makeup brush). she tells people it’s from overworking herself, and maybe she’s right, but there are other reasons.

it’s companionship that she’s craving. someone to talk to whenever she’d like, someone she can trust with all of her thoughts, someone who will get all of her jokes. but most importantly, someone who will understand the lonely look in her eyes when she gazes at them in a room of people.

she knows whose company she craves, but she’s too proud to do anything about it.

i really love that quote about daisy bc it honestly does fit hikari so well too??? like theres something about her that just attracts people, whether it’s romantic or platonic. she’s pretty and interesting and nice and mean and frustrating and funny and talented and kind of pathetic all at the same time. there’s always been something about her that makes others want to protect her, but i’ve never been able to place my finger on it.

she’s just. so good at getting people on her side. for lack of words, wrapping them around her finger and making them care about her. of course, she cares about them too, but she’s just. special somehow.
