Brendan says: (9:39:42 PM)
…I have a proposition.
Hikari says: (9:39:59 PM)
Hm?
Brendan says: (9:41:04 PM)
If you still want to be with me, show up to Ever Grande in three years. May 17th, 2015.
Brendan says: (9:41:35 PM)
I’ll be there, I swear. By then, I’ll be Champion… I hope.
Brendan says: (9:41:48 PM)
If I’m not in the league, I’ll show up anyways.
Hikari says: (9:42:11 PM)
You can’t guarantee you’ll still want me then.
Brendan says: (9:42:37 PM)
What if I do?
Hikari says: (9:43:36 PM)
Well… I’ll be there. We both know I’m the patient one out of the two of us. And I’m the one that always falls back while you run off ahead.
Hikari says: (9:43:42 PM)
If one of us will be there, it’ll be me.
Brendan says: (9:44:19 PM)
I’ll be there too, me my hat and I.
This is currently where they stand. For her own sake of mind, while she knows it’s possible for them to meet up before the three year mart, she’s not going to think of him for the three years as much as she can. She won’t expect to see him on her birthday or at Christmas or any other holiday.
This is where they are: he needs to train to become the champion of Hoenn, and she needs to focus on her coordinating. But she’s resigned herself not to wait around the three years either. If they’re meant to be together, then they’ll find a way to be together.
But she knows she can’t let him cloud her thoughts for now. Tomorrow, she’s meeting up with Sird and returning to the penthouse to resume normal life.
I think she’s ready to let go now.
